Please see below project update for the Marblehead Elementary School: 

• The metal window contractor shall continue the installation of storefronts & glazing installation on the North & South elevations of Areas A & C of the building.
• The metal panel contractor will continue with installation of the fiber cement panels on the West elevation of the building.   
• The roofing contractor will continue with equipment roof curb & skylight flashings on the main roof level.  
• Production sheetrocking activities shall continue in the Classrooms and remaining spaces on the second level of Areas A & B.
• Sheetrocking taping & sanding activities will continue on the second level of Areas A & B. 
• Prime painting activities will commence in the Classroom mock-up room and continue through the second level of Areas A & B this week.
• In-wall inspections on the first floor of Area A & B with the electrical inspector is scheduled for Monday 2/22.  The Town Building inspectors is scheduled for Tuesday 2/23 of this week.  Sheet rocking activities for this area is scheduled to commence on Wednesday 2/24.
• Installation of mechanical insulation activites shall continue on the first floor of Area A & B.
• The concrete topping slab in the Kitchen is scheduled to be placed on Thursday 2/25.  
• Rough-in of mechanical piping, ductwork, electrical & plumbing shall continue on the first level of Area C.
• Piping rough-in and connections to the equipment located in the Mechanical Room will continue this week.
• Electrical rough-in and setting of electrical panel housings and transformers in the Main Electrical Room will  continue this week.
• Testing of the storefront glazing systems was rescheduled to Thursday 2/25 on the West & East elevations of the building.  This is due to the recent weather and temperatures.

• A delivery of exterior door frame systems are scheduled to arrive on-site Friday 2/19 and will be offloaded into the building.
• The metal panel contractor will continue with installation of the fiber cement panel assembly on the East & South elevations of the building.   
• The roofing contractor will continue with equipment roof curb flashings on the main roof level. 
• The mechanical contractor is scheduled to receive a delivery of roof top equipment curbs on Monday 2/8.  The curbs will be hoisted via a crane and set on the roof level. 
• Production sheetrocking activities shall continue in the Classrooms and remaining spaces on the second level of Areas A & B.
• Sheetrocking taping activities have commenced and will continue on the second level of Areas A & B. 
• In-wall rough-in of plumbing and electrical shall continue on first floor of Area A & B.
• Installation of in-wall blocking shall continue on the first floor of Area A & B.
• In-wall inspections with applicable town inspectors are scheduled for this week on the first floor of Area A & B to support the start of sheet rocking activities the week of 2/22.
• Installation of mechanical insulation activites shall continue on the first floor of Area A & B.
• The concrete slab on grade placement for the Kitchen area is scheduled for Wednesday 2/17 this week.  A concrete pump truck will be utilized to support the placement and will be located on the East elevation of the building adjacent to Gate B.
• Rough-in of mechanical piping & ductwork shall continue on the first level of Area C.
• Wall framing activities shall continue on the first level of Area C.
• Piping rough-in and connections to the equipment located in the Mechanical Room will continue this week.
• Electrical rough-in and setting of electrical panel housings and transformers in the Main Electrical Room will  continue this week.
• Testing of the storefront glazing systems was rescheduled to Friday 2/19 on the West & East elevations of the building.

The weather forecast is predicting two separate snow events in this area for Tues-Weds 2/9-2/10 & Friday 2/12.  The project will continue to monitor the forecast and schedule snow plowing and clean-up crews as needed to support a clear and safe site.  To support this effort the snow plowing and clean-up activities will commence at 5:00AM in advance of the trade workers arrival for the day on Wednesday and Friday.

• The site contractor will continue with the excavation and installation of underground drainage elements & site prep on the East elevation of the project site.  Note this activity may require the use of a hammer drill at irregular intervals to break-up larger rocks/boulders and/or potential high spots of ledge that need to be taken down to support the site design.     
• Building waterproofing detailing & flashing activities shall work to complete the leave out at the temporary stair location on the North elevations of the building.
• The masonry contractor will complete the masonry veneer activities at the temporary stair location on the North elevation this week.  
• The metal window contractor shall continue the installation of storefronts & glazing installation on the North & South elevations of Areas A & C of the building.
• A delivery of exterior door frame systems are scheduled to arrive on-site Friday 2/12 and will be offloaded into the building.

• The mechanical contractor is scheduled to receive a delivery of roof top equipment curbs on Monday 2/8.  The curbs will be hoisted via a crane and set on the roof level. 
• Sheetrocking & Taping tops of walls will continue on the second level of Areas A & B.
• Production sheetrocking activities shall continue in the Classrooms on the second level of Areas A & B.
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical duct and piping shall continue on the first floor of Area A & B. 
• In-wall rough-in of plumbing and electrical shall continue on first floor of Area A & B.
• Installation of in-wall blocking shall continue on the first floor of Area A & B.
• Installation of mechanical insulation activites shall commence on the first floor of Area A & B.
• Backfill & concrete slab on grade prep will continue this week in the Kitchen on the first level of Area B.  The concrete slab placement is tentatively scheduled this week.  A concrete pump truck will be utilized to support the placement and will be located on the East elevation of the building adjacent to Gate B.
• Rough-in of mechanical piping & ductwork shall continue on the first level of Area C.

The weather forecast is calling for a snow event in this area for Sunday 2/7 into Monday 2/8.  The project is scheduling snow plowing and clean-up crews to support a clear and safe site for the trade workers when they arrive to the project site on Monday morning.  To support this effort the snow plowing and clean-up activities will commence at 5:00AM in advance of the trade workers arrival on site.
