Please see below project update for the Marblehead Elementary School:

• The site contractor will continue with the construction of the landscaping retaining wall on the North elevation of the project site.
• The site contractor is scheduling the trucking companies to behing hauling unused materials offsite this week and next.     
• Building waterproofing activities shall continue on the West, East & North elevations of Areas B & C on the building. 
• The masonry contractor will continue working on the West, East & North elevations of Areas A, B & C of the building.  
• The metal window contractor shall continue the installation of windows & storefronts on the West & East elevation of Areas A & B of the building. 
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B. 
• Installation of mechanical piping insulation shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B.    
• Interior metal framing shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B.  Installation of insulation on the exterior walls shall continue this week on this level.  
• Rough-in of in-wall plumbing and electrical shall continue on the second level of Area A. 
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical duct and piping shall continue this week on the first floor of Area A. 
• Interior metal framing & setting of door frames shall continue on the interior first level of Area A.
• The temporary heaters and equipment were delivered and set-up on Wednesday 12/16.  Temporary barriers to protect the equipment are scheduled to arrive and be set on Tuesday 12/22.  The equipment will continue with hook-up and are scheduled to start-up for use the week of 12/28.
• The project site will not be working on Friday 12/25 due to the Holiday; work will recommence on Monday 12/28.

Due to the amount and period of time it snowed on Thursday the project will be bringing in a clean-up crew again on Friday 12/18 as a precautionary measure for the workers.  To support this effort the clean-up activites will commence at 5AM in advance of the trade workers arrival for the day.  This activity has been communicated to both the Marblehead Building Department and Police Department.

• The temporary heaters and equipment to provide heat in the building are scheduled to be delivered and set-up on Wednesday 12/16.  The equipment will commence hook-up on Thursday 12/17, note this activity may get pushed to Friday 12/18 due to the weather forecast.   
• Building waterproofing activities shall continue on the West, East & North elevations of Areas B & C on the building. 
• The masonry contractor will continue working on the West, East & North elevations of Areas A & B of the building.  
• The metal window contractor shall continue the installation of windows on the West & East elevation of Area A of the building. 
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B. 
• Installation of mechanical piping insulation is scheduled to commence on the interior second level of Areas A & B.

• The mechanical contractor will continue lay-out and installing pipe and duct hangers on the first floor of Area A.
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical duct and piping shall commence this week on the first floor of Area A. 
• Interior metal framing & setting of door frames shall continue on the interior first level of Area A.

The weather forecast is predicting a snow event in this area for Thursday 12/17.  The project is currently scheduling snow plowing and clean-up crews to support a clear and safe site for the trade workers when they arrive to the project on Thursday morning.  To support this effort the snow plowing and clean-up activites will commence at 5AM in advance of the trade workers arrival for the day.  This activity has been communicated to both the Marblehead Building Department and Police Department.

The project will be working on the site this Saturday 12/12/20.  Activities will consist of the following:

• General Trades contractor will be working on interior lay-out activities and framing activities on the second floor of the building.  The work crew will be utilizing man-lifts and power tools (drills and saws) to support the work activities through out the day. 
• Masonry contractor will be washing down the brick veneer on the South-East corner of the building.  The work crew will be utilizing the hydro-lift/staging and washing equipment to support the work activities.  The project is utilizing the warmer temperatures scheduled for Saturday to perform this weather sensitive activity.   

The allowable work hours for Saturday is 8AM – 5PM.  

This Saturday work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with both the Marblehead Building Department & Police Department.

• The site contractor will continue with placing fill and subgrade prep along the East elevation of the project, adjacent to Gate B. 
• The site contractor will continue with sub-grading activities on the West elevation of the site adjacent to Gate C/Dartmouth Road.  This area will be prepped and secured for the upcoming Winter months.  Due to the forecasted weather & temperatures the project will not place the asphalt binder in this area of the project site this season.
• The site contractor will continue with the construction of the landscaping retaining wall on the North elevation of the project site.  
• The site contractor shall commence the excavation and installation of the drainage system & stone rip rap along the West elevation of the project site adjacent to the new parking lot and roadway on the property.    
• Building waterproofing activities shall continue on the West, East & North elevations of Areas B & C on the building. 
• The masonry contractor will continue working on the West, South & East elevations of Area A of the building. 
• The metal window contractor shall commence the installation of windows on the West elevation of Area A of the building. 
• Rough-in of overhead mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B.     
• Interior metal framing shall continue on the interior second level of Areas A & B.  
• The mechanical contractor will continue lay-out and installing pipe and duct hangers on the first floor of Area A. 
• The mechanical contractor is scheduled to receive deliveries of duct work for the first floor of Area A this week and commence rough-in of these materials.
• Interior metal framing shall commence on the interior first level of Area A.    
• The metal window contractor is scheduled to receive a delivery of metal windows & storefront glass on Monday 12/7 & Tuesday 12/8 of this week.  All materials will be offloaded and stored on the project site.
