Please see below project update for the Marblehead Elementary School: 

• Resilient Flooring installation is continuing and will complete on the second Area A/B in the corridors and bridge area.  The flooring installation will commence in the Admin and Cafeteria spaces on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. 
• The painting contractor is continuing with final paint activities on the second and first levels of Area A/B.
• The millwork contractor is completing the installation of millwork trim and acoustical panels in the gymnasium.  Millwork ship-lap at the procensium openings on each side of the Stage shall be completed this week.  Installation of vision panels, display cases and ship lap in the Main Lobby spaces.  This contractor has deliveries tentatively scheduled Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. 
• The metal panel contractor will continue with the installation of their finish panel materials in the gymnasium spaces this week.
• Final cleaning activities will continue in the second floor classrooms in Area A/B.
• The tiling contractor will continue with the installation of ceramic wall tile in the Main Lobby space this week.
• The plumbing contractor shall be continuing with the termination and hook-up of kitchen equipment.  
• The ceiling contractor shall continue with the installation of the specialty ceilings at the exterior canopy, cafeteria and corridors in A/B this week.  
• Specialty light fixtures shall continue installation in the cafeteria space, corridors and main lobby of Area A/B.
• The second kitchen equipment delivery is scheduled for Tuesday 8/10.  The equipment shall be set followed by the electrical and plumbing connections. 
• Removal and hauling of excess materials will be completed on Tuesday this week from the North Elevation of the project site.
• Sidewalk forming and reinforcing along Baldwin Road adjacent to the project site shall commence on Tuesday with a concrete placement scheduled for Wednesday 8/11.  This new sidewalk will then be opened for use to the public allowing the new curb and sidewalk work on the East side (Resident's side) of Baldwin Road to commence.  The work along the East side of Baldwin Road shall commence week of 8/16.   
• Timber guardrail will continue on the South, West and North elevations of the project site this week.
• Construction of the retaining wall along the Dartmouth Road exit shall be completed this week.
• Site traffic and directional signage is scheduled to be installed on Tuesday 8/10.
• The landscape contractor will continue playground equipment installation on the north elevation of the project site. 
• Sub-grade prep for plantings have commenced and will continue around the perimeter of the building and project site.
• Sub-grade prep for the atheltic field space shall commence on Wednesday 8/11.
• The roofing contractor shall continue and complete all remaining roof edge metal at the canopy roof and other misc areas.

The project will be working on the site this weekend.  Activities will consist of the following:

• General trades contractor will working on misc clean-up and column enclosure install on the interior of the building.  Addressing roof blocking along the canopy after 8AM. 
• Ceiling contractor will be installing speciality ceiling panels in the cafeteria space and continuing the construction of the exterior canopy ceiling after 8AM.
• Taping contractor will be completing misc finish and sanding activities on the first level.
• Millwork contractor will be continuing the install millwork ship lap on the Stage area, millwork items at the ELS spaces on the first level and display case installation in the Main Lobby space.
• Flooring contractor will be continuing the install of flooring materials on second floor bridge corridor in the main lobby and misc office spaces on first level of Area A/B and C.  This contractor shall continue with flooring installation on the interior of the building on Sunday.
• Electrical contractor will be installing light fixtures in the cafeteria, stage and main lobby spaces.  Continuing with devicing and installing/terminating the fire alarm system.  This contractor shall continue with light fixture installation on the interior of the building on Sunday.
• Painting contractor will be continuing with painting railings on the second floor corridor of Area A/B and stairwells.
• Site contractor will continue with the retaining wall construction along Dartmouth Road.  Work to commence after 8AM.
• Sprinkler contractor will continue with the installation of sprinkler heads in the main lobby space.
• Plumbing contractor will continue with fixture installation on the lower level A/B.  This contractor shall fill and chlorinate the domestic water system on the interior of the building on Sunday. 

This weekend work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with both the Marblehead Building Department & Police Department.

• The specialties contractor is continuing with locker installation on the second floor of Area A/B and toilet accessories in the bathrooms on the first level of the building.
• The speciality lighting in the media center will continue installation.
• Final cleaning activities will continue in the second floor classrooms in Area A/B.
• The tiling contractor will continue with the installation of ceramic wall tile in the Main Lobby space this week.
• The plumbing contractor shall complete the installation and connection of the plumbing fixtures in the building this week.  Installation and hook-up of the elevator sump pump shall be completed on Wednesday.
• The ceiling contractor shall continue with the installation of the specialty ceilings at the exterior canopy, cafeteria and corridors in A/B this week.  
• Specialty light fixtures have commenced installation and will continue in the cafeteria space and corridors of Area A/B.
• Door hardware installation will continue this week on first level of Area A/B and C. 
• Removal and hauling of excess materials will be completed on Tuesday this week from the North Elevation of the project site.
• Installation of the remaining granite curb along Baldwin Road shall commence on Monday to support remaining sidewalk prep in these areas.
• Timber guardrail is continuing along the West elevation of the parking lot and will continue to the North elevation of the project site.
• Construction of the retaining wall along the Dartmouth Road exit shall commence this week.
• The landscape contractor will continue playground equipment installation on the north elevation of the project site.  The outdoor patio/classroom pavers will be completed this week.  Sub-grade prep for plantings have commenced and will continue around the perimeter of the outdoor patio/classroom space.
• The landscape contractor is scheduled to place the asphalt binder material at the basketball court, tetherball area and trike track on Tuesday 8/3.
• Sub-grade prep for the atheltic field space shall commence on Wednesday 8/4.
• The roofing contractor shall continue and complete all remaining roof edge metal at the canopy roof and other misc areas.
• Kitchen equipment delivery is scheduled for Thursday 8/5.  The equipment shall be set followed by the electrical and plumbing connections. 

The project will be working on the site this Saturday 7/31/21.  Activities will consist of the following:

• General trades contractor will be working doors & hardware installation in the building.
• Ceiling contractor will be installing speciality ceiling panels on the second level Area A/B and constructing speciality ceilings in the cafeteria space.
• Taping contractor will be completing misc finish and sanding activities on the first level.
• Millwork contractor will be continuing the install of the FRP panels in the kitchen space and millwork/casework installation in the Media Center on the second floor.
• Flooring contractor will be continuing the install of flooring materials in the first floor corridors and adjacent office spaces.
• Electrical contractor will be installing light fixtures in the cafeteria space and installing/terminating the fire alarm system.
• Painting contractor will be continuing with finish painting activities in the classroom spaces on the second & first level of Area A/B.  Additionally painting railings on the second floor corridor of Area A/B.

This Saturday work schedule has been communicated and coordinated with both the Marblehead Building Department & Police Department.

• The millwork contractor is continuing installation of ELS materials on second and first levels of Area A & B.  This contractor has deliveries tentatively scheduled Tuesday through Friday of this week. 
• The specialties contractor will complete the installation of toilet partitions and commence locker installation on the second floor of Area A/B.
• The ceiling system, light fixtures and radiant ceiling panels in the media center will be completed this week.  The millwork installation shall commence this week in this space.
• Final cleaning activities have commenced on the second floor classrooms in Area A/B.
• The tiling contractor will continue with the installation of ceramic wall tile in the Administration space and Main Lobby space this week. 
• The plumbing contractor shall continue with the installation and connection of the plumbing fixtures in the gang bathrooms on the second floor and in the classrooms on the first level of Areas A & B.
• The ceiling contractor shall continue with the installation of the specialty ceilings at the exterior canopy, cafeteria and adjacent corridor spaces and corridors in A/B this week.  
• Specialty light fixtures have commenced installation and will continue in the cafeteria space and corridors of Area A/B.
• Doors and hardware installation will continue this week on first level of Area A/B and C. 
• The millwork and metal panel contractor will commence installation of their finish materials in the gymnasium space this week.
• The site contractor will complete the construction of utility inverts in the structures this week.
• Removal and hauling of excess materials will continue this week from the North Elevation of the project site.
• The landscape contractor will continue playground equipment installation in the north and south elevations.  The outdoor patio/classroom granite will be set to support the subgrade prep and installation of pavers in this area.
• The roofing contractor shall complete all remaining roof edge metal at the canopy roof and other misc areas.
• Demobilization of the construction office trailers shall commence on Tuesday with removal of the trailers from the project site scheduled for Thursday 7/29.
• Marblehead Light Department is scheduled to deenergize and disconnect the remaining temporary power service located at Gate C-Dartmouth Road on Friday 7/30.
• Asphalt milling of Baldwin Road from the intersection of Jane Road to approx Arlyn Road is scheduled for Wednesday 7/28.  The necessary identification and No Parking Singage was posted along these roadways on Monday 7/26.  Paper notices provided by the Town's DPW were distributed to all property owners adjacent to this work and roadways on Monday 7/26.  This work has been communicated and coordinated with the Town's Police, Fire and DPW departments.
